Atkinson R Robert Edward Atkinson was the son of Fred and Bessie, born in Castleford in 1893. In 1901 the family lived at Fenton St, Skelton where Fred worked as an ironstone miner. By the end of the war Fred and Bessie were living at 40 Ings Cottages, Crofton. Robert enlisted in Wakefield, into the KOYLI as pte 2007 and he was KIA on 19 December 1915. He rests in Bard Cottage Cemetery. Robert left a widow, Louisa who lived at 2 Scotts Yard, Brunswick Street.
Ball C Charles was the son of Nathan and Julia Ball who in 1901 were living at Farrars Yard in the parish of St Mary. Nathan and his family had moved from Castleford and Normanton where the 3 eldest children were born- only charles and his younger brother were born in the City. Charles enlisted into the KOYLI as Pte 202041 and died of wounds on 28 July 1917 aged 29 and is remembered at Mont Huon Military Cemetery, Le Treport. By this time Charles was married and his wife lived at Stanley.
Beaumont F Frank was born in Burley in 1886 but by the end of the war his sister Esther was living at Marsland St, Primrose Hill. Frank enlisted in 1905, joining the KRRC as 6541in York. Frank was described as 5'3" 128lb and had grey eyes and brown hair with a scar on left forearm and right side of his face. He also had flat feet. In 1912 he was in Aldershot and placed on the Army Reserve List. During the war he was called off the Reserve List as on 23 October 1914 he was KIA and is remembered on the Menin Gate Memorial to the Missing.
Binns A Arthur was the son of Charles Henry and Lily Binns, born in 1890, who in 1901 were living in Bishopgate. Arthur enlisted in Wakefield, joining the West Yorkshire Regt., as Pte 61821. He was KIA on 24 August 1918 and is remembered on the Vis-en-Artois Memorial
Brice W There are 5 w Brice on the CWGC website and on SWDTGW but none have a specific link to Wakefield. There is however, a T W Brice born in 1900 to Walter (from Devon) and Nelly Brice. Could this be The W Brice mentioned, as he is from John Street in the Parish of St Mary.
Brice C H Charles Henry Brice was the son of widow Mary Ann Brice (spouse to John) who in 1901 was a Landlady from Devon as was father from W Brice, living on Pincheon Street with her 2 children and 10 boarders. The property must have been very close to the junction with Hardy Croft. Charles enlisted in Wakefield, joining the Norfolk Regiment as Pte 42507 and died of wounds on 11 October 1918 aged 35 and rests in Mont Huon Military Cemetery, Le Treport. By this time he had married Mary Elizabeth who was living at 11 Crystal Place, John Street.
Bradshaw F Fred Bradshaw was the youngest child of Joseph and Alice in the 1901 census being 12 years old. He enlisted in Wakefield, joining the KOYLI and rising to Sergt., 200352. Fred died of wounds on 26 July 1917 and rests on Mont Huon Military Cemetery, Le Treport.
Broadbent J John Broadbent was the son David and Sarah, who in 1901 were living at 48 & 50 Warrengate - David was a self employed grocer and father of 6 children - John being the eldest. He enlisted in Dewsbury to the KOYLI and became Pte 17462 but was KIA on 13 December 1915 and is remembered in Houplines Communal Cemetery Extension with over 400 other identified casualties
Broadbent J E There are 2 J E Broadbents who died in WW1 but none with a specific link to Wakefield.
Burgess C

Cyril was the son of Arthur and Florence Burgess who in 1901 lived at Berners Street, where Arthur worked as a Commission Agents Clerk. Cyril enlisted into the RHA and became L/Bdr 14013. He died on 14 October 1918 aged 20 and rests in abbeville Communal Cemetery Extension.
Note : Cyril was awarded the M.M. but this award is ommitted from the Memorial in the Church

Burton P Percival Burton was the son of Walter and Elizabeth Burton of Johnstone Street, Wakefield. He enlisted in Wakefield into the York & Lancs as Pte 38622 but on his military records is known as Percy. He died of wounds on 22 December 1917 age 23 and rests in his home town - Wakefield Cemetery.
Carver H Herbert Carver enlisted in Wakefield into the KOYLI as Pte 200749. He was KIA on 14 April 1918 and is remembered along with many others on the Tyne Cot Memorial to the Missing.
Caton W William Wain Caton was born in Normanton, the son of William and Annie Caton who in 1901 ran the Leopard Hotel in Wakefield - later moving to the Hertford Arms. William in 1901 was a bricklayer aged 19. He enlisted in Wakefield, joining the Coldstream Buards as Pte 13472 and died of wounds on 16 November 1916 aged 35 and rests in Grove Town Cemetery, Meaulte
Chappell J W John William was the son of David and Alice Chappell who in 1901 lived at 1 Grove Terrace where David worked as a Railway Guard. Later on the family moved to 231 Kirkgate. John enlisted in Leeds into the Prince of Wales's Own Regt., as Pte 41258 and was KIA on 11 october 1918 aged 29 and is remembered on the Vis-en-Artois Memorial along with many others whose final resting place is not known. John left a widow, Elsie who later remarried into the Kaye family and moved to 11 Napier Street, Ward Green, Barnsley.
Clark T Thomas Clark was, according to one source, born in Crofton and enlisted in Wakefield to the Lincolnshire Regt., becoming Pte 938. He was KIA on 1 July 1916 - one of many who were killed or died on the 1st Day of the Battle of the Somme. He rests the Cerisy-Gailly French National Cemetery with 393 other Commonwealth casualties in this French National Cemetey
Cockell A Algernon Cockell was the son of Martin and Matilda who in 1901 lived at 8 Warehouse Yard int he parish of St Michael - Martin worked as a wool warehouseman but by the end of WW1 he was living at the Hatter Arms, Wakefield. Algernon enlisted in Wakefield, joining the KOYLI and became L/Cpl 9839. He was KIA on 28 August 1914 aged 23 and is remembered on La Ferte-Sous-Jouarre Memorial along with over 3700 others who have no known grave
Cockell E Ernest was the son of George and Emma Cockell of Stratheden Road, off Balne Lane. He served in the KOYLI as Pte 2479. He died 'at home' on 19 February 1915 aged 20 and rests in Wakefield Cemetery
Collinson E Ernest Albert Collinson was the son of Albert Abraham and Mildred Mary who in 1901 lived in Mary Street, East Ardsley. Later moving to Gordon Street in the village. Ernest enlisted in Wakefield as Pte 47726 and was KIA on 8 March 1918 aged 19. He is remembered on the Tyne Cot Memorial
Dade S Stephen Dade served in the KRRC as rifleman 2577. He died on 10 December 1914 and rests in Berlin South-Western Cemetery
Dogett A Although there are 5 Doggett A's recorded as having been KIA or died in WW1 I cannot find a link to Wakefield for either of them
Fox G George Fox was the son of David and Mary Fox, possibly in 1901 living in Drighlington. George enlisted in Wakefield, into the KOYLI as Pte 201431. He was KIA on 8 July 1916 aged 36 and is remembered on the Thiepval Memorial to the Missing. He left a widow, Maria of 6 Stafford Yard, Ingwell Street, Primrose Hill
Fouweather F Frederick Clayton Fouweather was born in Wakefield in 1893, the son of Richard and Alice of South Street, Primrose Hill - over the years moving from 66 to 74. In 1901 Richard was aged 59 and a retired Glass Blower. Frederick enlisted in Wakefield, like others joining the KOYLI and becomming Pte 2993. He was KIA on 2 December 1916 aged 23 and he rests in Bienvillers Military Cemetery
Gilbert J M John Marks Gilbert was the son of Henry and Charlotte who in 1881 lived in Navigation Yard. By 1891 J M was living with his sister Charlotte and her husband, also in Navigation Yard. John served in the South African Campaign for which he was mentioned in dispatches. During his life he had also been Assistant Organizing Secretary to Lord Roberts in the National Service League. According to sources John enlisted in Preston, joining the RGA and rising to Battery Sergt., Major 2658 and was KIA on 2 November 1914 aged 42 and rests in Brown's Road Military Cemetery, Festubert. John had married Margaret Ellen who by the end of the war is living in Heathwood Gardens, Charlton, London.
Gill L Lawrence Henry Gill was the son of Charles and Kate Heathcote Hill who in 1901 lived at Bakers Yard - by the end of the war Kate was living at 2 OUghs Yard off Park Street. Lawrence enlisted in Wakefield, joining the KOYLI as Pte 201461. He was KIA on 20 July 1918 aged 21 and he is remembered on the Soissons Memorial along with over 3800 other young men who have no known grave
Gooch J A James Arthur Gooch served in the KOYLI's as Pte 30625, later transferring to the Prince of Wales's Own as Pte 27632. He died on 25 August 1918 and is rests in Glageon Communal Cemetery Extension
Hartley F D Fred Dodds Hartley was the son of Albert and Esther and husband of Edith who lived after the war at Monk Street. Fred enlisted in Pontefract into the York and Lancs as Pte 38828. He died on 31 March 1918 aged 36 and rests in Doullens Communal Cemetery Extension No. 1.
Heffer G H George Harry Heffer was the son of George and Ellen Eliza Heffer of Wakefield. In 1891 the family lived at Marsland Street but by 1901 Ellen Eliza was a widow and still in Marsland Street. Harry enlisted in Barnsley into the Yorks and Lancs and became Pte 14/900. He was KIA on 18 September 1918 and rests in Chapelle British Cemetery, Holnon.
Heptonstall W G William Gladstone Heptonstall was born in Wakefield in 1880, the son of Joseph and Lydia of 36 Charles Street, Primrose HIll. Joseph was working as a boot maker and at the end of the war the family were still living in no. 36. William enlisted in Derby, joining the Sherwood Foresters as Pte 71878. He was KIA on 7 June 1917 aged 37 and he is remembered, like many others, on the Ypres Memorial - The Menin Gate Memorial
Hepworth H Harry Sanderson Hepworth was born in Wakefield in to the RAMC as Pte 65. According to his records he joined the Imperial Service Section on 5 September 1914 and he was KIA on 27 September 1915 aged 30.
His records also state that his father was Edward poss. of the Jacobs Well Tavern and that his mother was deceased. He had one brother, George and sisters, Nellie, Florrie and Laura. The information also goes on to say that he had a widow, Minnie of 15 Anderson Tce., Plumpton. Information in the records tells that he served 'at home' from 5 September 1914 - 14 December of the same year and served as part of the BEF from 15 December 1914 on board African Prince from Southampton to the date of his death in 1915. A typed sheet of paper tells that he was buried in Vermelles British Cemetery row M grave 2 (that differs from the CWGC numbering) and that he had a burial conducted by the Rev. J S Gibbs . His widow, Minnie received a pension of 10/- per week for herself from 10th April 1916.

Illingworth W H William Henry Illingworth was born in Hunslet in 1891 the son of Albert and Lilly. He enlisted in Wakefield, joining the KOYLI as Pte 200021 and was KIA on 1 July 1916 and is remembered on the Thiepval Memorial
Jacob A

There is an Alfred Jacob living on Tavern Street, Wakefield in 1901 but as to whether this is the A Jacob on the war memorial I do not know as there is no link to Wakefield on any other sources

Jewson F Frank was born in 1887, the son of Samuel and Martha who in 1891 lived at Savilles Buildings ? Primrose Hill. By 1901 Francis is living with his in-laws at 164 South Street, next door to his widowed father who lived at 162. Frank became Pte 298099 in the London Regiment and was KIA on 9 August 1918 aged 32. Frank rests in Heath Cemetery Harbonnieres
Kemp G W Can find no link to Wakefield for a G W Kemp
Kenworthy A Arthur was the son of Henry Kenworth of Victoria Street, Belle Vue and he enlisted in Wakefield, joining the York and Lancs as Pte 16228 in Pontefract on 27 October 1914 and was posted 3 days later. He was KIA on 7 June 1917 aged 21 and is remembered on the Menin Gate Memorial.
A letter in amongst his army papers concerns papers received from the Red Cross regarding Henry - it goes on to say that "since enlistment Arthur lived with me having no mother and losing my son last Dec. the 2nd. I feel very anxious about the lad. I am Sir, yours truly, Alice Fouweather" See Fouweather F
Kershaw W William was the son of Tom Kershaw of Bond Terrace. He served in the KOYLI 2nd btn as L/Cpl 26112. He was KIA on 18 November 1916 and is rests in Munich Trench British Cemetery, Beaumont-Hamel
Kilner S D Sam Davies Kilner was the son of Joshua and Emily who in 1901 lived at 1 Bridge Street. Sam was aged 15 and worked as an errand lad and his father worked as a machinist in the local iron foundry. Sam joined the KOYLI as Pte 35493 and was KIA on 20 November 1917 aged 32 and is remembered on the Cambrai Memorial, Louverval
Kitson J Possibly Joseph Kitson son of Amelia of Junction Lane Ossett, who served in the KOYLI as Pte 4383. He was KIA on 7 July 1916 aged 24 and is remembered on the Thiepval Memorial
Link W E William E Link was the son of Walter C and Louisa Link who in 1901 lived at 140 South St, Normanton where Walter worked as a Mineral Water Box Marker. William enlisted in Wakefield, while residing in the City. He joined the DLI as 351266, later transferring to the Queen's Own (Royal West Kent Regt) as Pte 205576. He was KIA on 21 March 1918 aged 21 and is remembered on the Pozieres Memorial
Lockwood E Edgar Gilbert Lockwood was the son of John and Charlotte of South View, Agbrigg. He enlisted in S W London into the Royal Fusiliers (City of London Regt.,) and rose to Sergt., G/13663. He died on 16 December 1917 aged 39 and rests in Dar Es Salaam War Cemetery
Lockwood J John Marks Lockwood served in the RFA as Fitter 39630 after enlisting in Nottingham. He was KIA on 2 October 1918 and is remembered on the Tyne Cot Memorial
Marshall P Percy Marshall enlisted in Leeds into the West Yorkshire Regt., no 33700, later transferring to the East Yorks Regt., and becoming Pte 25462. He was KIA on 13 November 1916 and rests in Euston Road Cemetery, Colincamps
McKend H Henry McKend was born in Kendal and enlisted in lancaster into the King's Own (Royal Lancaster Regt.,) as Pte 6234. He was KIA on 13 October 1914 aged 34 and is remembered on the Ploegsteert Memorial. Henry had married Lilly, but in 1924 married John W Sygrove
Micklethwaite G P

George Percy Micklethwaite was the son of George and Alice who in 1901 lived in Greenmount Villas. George enlisted in the KOYLI as 21970 on 3 March 1915. On 15 February 1917 he transferred to the MGC as Pte 73379. George died of wounds on 25 August 1918 aged 30 and rests in Mont Huon Military Cemetery, Le Treport. By the end of the war George had married Blanche who lived at 34 Leigh St, Wakefield.
George was 5'7¾" tall with a fully expanded chest of 36".His papers also give details of his marriage to Blanche Haggard of Wakefield on 28 April 1915. On a8 April 1927, Blanche acknowledged the receipt of the British War Medal and Victory Medal earned by her husband. Prior to his death George had been in Stoke upon Trent Hospital due to burns on his left forearm. Blanche was elidgible for a pension of 13/9p per week from 3 March 1919.

Milsom C R Charles Rishworth Milson in 1901 was aged 19 and living with his parents. In 1901 he married Ada Walker He enlisted in Wakefield, joining the KOYLI as Pte 203177. He was KIA on 9 October 1917 aged 36 and he is remembered on the Tyne Cot Memorial.
Moffatt L Louis Moffatt or Moffett as he is found in 2 sources was born in 1881, the son of Arthur and Letty who in 1901 lived at 17 Grove Street. Louis worked as an Exhibition Billiard Marker and his father was a Cab Proprietor. Louis enlisted in the KOYLI as 35454 but later transferred to the Worcester Regt., as 40471. He was KIA on 31 July 1917 and rests at Birr Cross Roads Cemetery along with over 800 Commonwealth casualties of which over 300 are unidentified.
Nottingham T There is no T Nottingham but there is a William Nottingham born in Eastmoor, the son of William and Annie. He enlisted in Wakefield, joining the KOYLI as 10324 and was KIA on 26 August 1917 aged 23. William is remembered on the La Ferte-Sous-Jouarre Memorial along with over 3700 other casualties who have no known final resting place.
Parkinson J Possibly Joseph Parkinson who served in the KOYLI as Pte 201445 and was KIA on 20 July 1918 and rests in Courmas British Cemetery, nr Reims
Pilbrow W Walter was born in Wakefield and enlisted there into the KOYLI 7th Btn as Pte 26255. He was KIA on 14 August 1917 and is remembered along with many others on the Menin Gate Memorial
Rawcliffe E R N Possibly, Ernest Rawcliffe born in New Wortley, Leeds and enlisting into the KOYLI as Pte 1848 in Wakefield. He was KIA on 30 May 1915
Reeder A E Albert Edward Reeder enlisted in Wakefield into the KOYLI as Pte 3547. He was KIA on 19 December 1915 and rests in Bard Cottage Cemetery
Reeder H Harold Reeder was married to Anice of Gosnay Terrace, Eastmoor. He enlisted in Wakefield into the KOYLI and rose to L/Cpl 21745. He died of wounds on 25 May 1917 and rests in Doiran Military Cemetery, Greece along with over 1300 Commonwealth casualties of which over 400 are unidentified.
Richardson A H There is no A H Richardson but it could be Harry Richardson son of Sam and Sarah who was born in Wakefield in 1894. He enlisted in Mansfield while living in Langwith, into the Sherwood Foresters as Pte 22434. He died of wounds on 14 September 1916 aged 22 and is remembered on the Thiepval Memorial
Roberts J

Joseph Roberts was born and enlisted in Wakefield, serving in the KOYLI as 2079, later being transferred to the Sherwood Foresters as ppte 74180. He died of wounds on 28 October 1918 and he rests in Grevillers British Cemetery.
Note: there are 3 Joseph Roberts born within the period expected of someone serving in WW1, namely Joseph b 1893 in Wakefield the son of William and Alice who in 1901 were running the British Oak at Caldergrove. Or, Joseph son of Emanuel and alice b 1899 in Wakefield but in 1901 was living in Barnsley. But I think this is the Joseph - born 1885 the brother of Thomas Roberts who was living at 4 Haighs Low Yard nr South Street in the parish of St Mary.

Sharp H Herbert Sharp born in some sources Patrington and others Owthorne, the son of Richard and Ann, who in 1901 were in Patrington, where Richard worked as an Ag. Lab. and lived on Tithe Barn Street. Herbert married Henrietta (later to become Dunhill). Herbert served in the KOYLI as Pte 12102. He was KIA on 15 August 1915 aged 29 and is remembered on the Menin Gate Memorial
Smith H D Henry Dyson Smith served in the KOYLI as L/Cpl 3/2551 after enlisting in Wakefield. He was KIA on 1 October 1916 and is remembered on the Thiepval Memorial
Spencer A Arthur Spencer was born in 1897 in Wakefield the son of Christopher and Ann who in 1901 lived at 7 Ship Yard, Wakefield, where Christopher worked as a dyers labourer. By the time the war was over the family lived at Stennard Cottage. Like so many other locals Arthur joined the KOYLI as Cpl 1876 and died of wounds on 22 November 1915 aged 18 and he rests in Lijssenthoek Military Cemetery, Belgium with over 10,000 other men and one woman - Nelly Spindler
Speightr W M No W M Speight with an obvious link to Wakefield but there is an M Speight, the son of Joseph and Hannah who was born in Sandal but around the time of WW1 was living in Bridge Street, Wakefield. He served in the KOYLI as Pte 2435 and was KIA on 24 June 1915 aged 26 and rests in Boix-Grenier Communal Cemetery

Starkey H Harry Starkey was born c 1893 in Wakefield, the son of John and Mary who in 1901 lived at 1 Heslings Yard, nr South Street. Harry served in the KOYLI as L/Cpl 47757 and died of 126 other Commonwealth casualties - 4 being unidentified
Swift W Walter Swift was the son of James and Eliza Swift who in 1901 lived at 22 Charles Street, Primrose Hill - later moving to no. 16. In 1901 Walter worked as a labourer in the iron foundry along with his father. He enlisted in Wakefield, joining the RGA as Gnr 94510. He was KIA on 21 September 1917 aged 35 and rests in Ypres Reservoir Cemetery along with over 1500 other casualties of war
Swift S Sam Swift was the younger brother of Walter above. In 1901 he was working as a printer compositor aged 17. He, like his brother, enlisted in Wakefield, only he joined the Northumberland Fusiliers as Pte 203907. He died one month after his brother on 26 October 1917 aged 33 and rests in Poelcapelle British Cemetery.
Totty P Philip Totty was born in Kirkgate, Wakefield, the son of John and Sarah who in 1901 lived on Caldervale Road. John worked as a carter in the ammonia works to feed his family of 4 children. Philip joined the KOYLI as Pte 1726 and was KIA on 5 September 1915 aged 21 and rests in Bard Cottage Cemetery, by now his family lived on Ash Grove, Sandal.
Wade T Tom Wade was the son of widow Annie and served Yorkshire Regt., as 43746, later transferring to the East Yorkshire Regt., as Pte 29900 or 29966 depending on which source you follow. He was KIA on 27 April 1918 and rests in Cinq Rues British Cemetery, Hazebrouck
Wade H Possibly the elder brother to Tom he served in the KOYLI as L/Cpl 200719 and was KIA on 1 July 1916 and is remembered on the Thiepval Memorial

Waters J John Waters was born in Preston, the husband of Eliza Jane and lived at Back Epsom Place, Primrose Hill. He served in the KOYLI and became Pte 21749. He died of wounds on 6 February 1016 and rests in Millencourt Communal Cemetery Extensin.
Willows J John Willows was the son of Charles and Ann who in 1901 lived in Stamp Office Yard, where Charles worked as a Police Constable (possibly in the City Force as he lived within the City boundary). John was then 14 and working as a grocers stable boy. He enlisted in London, joining the RGA as Bdr 18910 or 16910 depending on which source you consult. John died on 19 June 1916 aged 30 and rests in Boulogne Eastern Cemetery. He left a widow, Alice who lived at 28 Charles Street, Primrose Hill.
Wormald W Possibly, William Alfred Wormald who was the son of John and Clara who in 1901 lived at 46 Alverthorpe Road. William enlisted into the KOYLI and became Cpl. 15270. He was KIA on 22 March 1918 and is remembered on the Pozieres Memorial
Wrigglesworth E There are 2 Ernest Wrigglesworth born in Wakefield in 1890 - 1 is an inmate in Wakefield Prison and the other is the son of Arthur and Marie who lived at 16 John Street, this seems the more likely of the 2. Arthur was a labourer in the steel boar works and with his wife had 3 children in the census of 1901. Ernest enlisted into the Cheshire Regt., as Pte 20560 and was KIA on 19 July 1916. He is remembered on the Thiepval Memorial to the Missing
Wrigglesworth H There is no one thing that can distinguish this man from the other H Wrigglesworths being found as to which regiment he served in but Ernest Wrigglesworth on the census of 1901 has a brother Harry - could this be H Wrigglesworht ?
Whitaker H Harry Whittaker (note the double t) was the son of George and Emma who in 1901 lived in Beaumont's Yard. Harry married Florence (who later became Atmore) and after the war she lived at Queen Victoria St, Kirkgate. Harry served in the KOYLI as L/Cpl 200510 and he died of wounds on 27 July 1917 aged 28. He rests in Coxyde Military Cemetery

Asquith J Possibly - John Asquith who served in the Duke of Wellington's Regt., as L/Cpl 4624056 and died on 30 January 1940 and is remembered on the Casino Memorial, Italy along with over 4000 other casualties
Batty G W Possibly, George William Batty the son of George William and Alice Eliza. If this is the George he served in the RA as Gunner 973516 and died on 30 October 1942 aged 28 and rests in Brookwood Cemetery.
Beverley W There are 3 W Beverley's and with no further information it is hard to determine which one is the casualty of war remembered on St Mary's War Memorial

Plimmer A L

Albert Leslie Plimmer was the son of Albert and Ethel (nee Pond). He served in the RAFVR as Flight Sergeant (Navigator) and died on 12 December 1944 aged 21. He left a widow, Gladys Sarah nee Wood of Armthorpe.

NOTE : Albert was awarded the D.F.M.

Richards G Geoffrey Richards was the son of Alexander Horace and Hilda. He served in the West Yorkshire Regt., as Pte 4618206 and died on 28 May 1944 aged 24 and rests in Imphal War Cemetery, India. Imphal is the capital of the Manipur State and is in north east India, bordering with Burma.
Rodwell R Ronald Rodwell or Rodwill as seen on some sources was the son of Walter and Sarah Jane. He served in the The Buffs (Royal East Kent Regt.,) as Pte 14355297 and died on 24 March 1944 aged 21 and rests in Cassino War Cemetery, Italy along with nearly 4000 other casualties of which 289 unidentified.

Yates L Levi Yates was the son of John and Liza Yates of Wakefield and husband of Daisy Mary of West Ardsley. Levi served in the Dorps of Military Police as Cpl. 4689635. He died on 16 December 1944 aged 33 and rests in Schoonselhof Cemetery, Antwerp, Belgium along with over 1500 other casualties
