Charles H Ryder Charles Haydn Ryder enlisted in Wakefield, the town of his birth, into the Lincolnshire regt. no 1066.  He died of wounds on 5 July 1917  aged 24 and is remembered at Boulogne Eastern Cemetery.  He was the son of William and Lucy Ryder of 4 Dickinson St, Wakefield

Douglas was an Sergeant Air Gunner in the RAVR 75th Sqdn, service no 1434609.  He was 19 years old when he died on 25 Jun 1943 and is remembered at Flushing (Vlissinghen) Northern Cemetery.  Douglas was the son of Ellis and Edith Armitage of Wakefield

James Eric was the son of Herbert and Esther of Wakefield.  He served as a Serjeant in the Royal Scots Fusiliers, 6th Bn. service no 3131770.  He died on 26 Jun 1944 aged 25 and is remembered at St Manvieu War Cemetery, Cheux

Derek Poulston

Derek was a Sergeant in the RAVR 226 Sqdn service no 998507.  He died on 15 Oct 1941 aged 23 and is remembered on the Memorial at Runnymede.  To be on this memorial Derek must have been serving at a home base.  He was the son of Sidney and Annie Poulston of Pontefract

Edgar Suggitt

Edgar served in the East Yorks Regt. 4th Bn.  service no 4346820.  He died on 19 December 1942 aged 26 and is remembered at Caserta War Cemetery, Italy and was the son of John and Isabella Suggitt of Wakefield
