Firstly, let me wish you and yours a Very Healthy, Happy and Peaceful New Year filled with all that you wish yourself and lots of good family history finds.

I am sure that as you get older the number of hours in a day shortens from 24 down to 12 or is it just me ?? There is so much information in my files waiting to be added to this site and that information keeps being added to and therefore the list of 'things to do' never seems to get any smaller.

Since the last newsletter in October the following pages have been added. I'm sorry there has been very little for the Wakefield area but those of you whose research takes you farther afield may welcome some of the transcripts.

11 Dec 2007 - Auchterarder, Perthshire War Memorial

20 Dec 2007 - Oban War Memorial, including some additional information

27 Dec 2007 - Cannongate War Memorial Edinburgh. A very large war memorial mounted to the wall on Cannongate

Bannockburn War Memorial

1 Jan 2008 - Ballachulish and Glencoe War Memorial. The memorial is set roadside and the soldier atop the memorial has the most beautiful vista from his position

Thornhill War Memorial, Stirlingshire

Balfron War Memorial, Stirlingshire

and finally, St Catharine's War Memorial, Belle Vue Sandal, Wakefield.
